Device Stuck In Recovery Mode

When I plug in the device it will turn on and almost immediately switch to the restore screen. When force restarting the device or turning off the device it will come back on and return to the recovery screen. Using software to exit the recovery screen results in the device boot looping. Ive tried the update and restore options only to be greeted with unknown error 4041. Letting the battery go dead and attempting to restore didn't have any yield either. The device wont enter the debug or dfu mode either.

Error 4041, or 4014 (I only ask for clarification because 4014 is not uncommon)?

Had same 4041 error issue on iPhone 13. After multiple attempts, I found related to aftermarket screen. Also experienced while connecting charging cable sometimes intermittent hesitation with phone recognizing cable.

By process of elimination, I swapped back to original screen, then attempted restore/update with success. Also, no more intermittent hesitation when connecting.

Hope this helps someone out there!

Thank you! Removing the aftermarket screen worked for me. No more 4041 error. Removed screen & update went through.

Thanks you, also. I didn't even go back to original screen, just disconnected replacement screen, did restore (successfully), then reinstalled aftermarket screen.

4014 is usually caused when your iPhone or iPad cannot create/sustain a connection to your computer. This is mostly caused due to a faulty charging cable. Be sure to try to restore with a few different lightning cables to rule out this possibility. You should also try using an OEM or "Made for iPhone" cable if at all possible to avoid any issues.

If the issue is 4041 and not 4014, you may have a faulty logic board and require microsoldering repair from what I've been able to gather.
