My screen went black and the back is bulging out on the left side

My apple watch 7 went black 3 days ago & yesterday I noticed the the back is coming off on the left side & top left corner. No help from Apple & I have had it 14 mos. Do you have repair kits for Apple Series 7 45mm, A2474. Or, can you direct me to where I can find kits & parts?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

IFixit Apple Watch - Series 7 Parts, depending on what you ultimately decide is the issue. This could be battery swelling though, in which case, talk to Apple again. Last I knew, there was a Service Program for devices whose battery was swollen within the first two or three years. It just isn’t really documented publicly. I haven’t had to do one of these repairs in a while, but even at 14 months you should be covered if that is actually the issue.

I would want to see some pictures of what you’re looking at before recommending anything in particular. Does the watch still power on?

Hi, No it doesn’t power on. I should mention that I was swimming when this happened but I’d never had problems before with it when swimming or in the shower. I’m worried that there’s water damage too inside.

@kathystanford Got it. It sounds like that is definitely plausible. It would have been my next question honestly.

If it’s not powering on and you’re concerned about liquid damage, the best thing to do would just be to open it up and see what you see (or have someone else open it up just to inspect. That will give you a better idea of what you might need to do.

I will also mention, the board for Apple Watches is on the very bottom, underneath the battery and the vibration motor, so if liquid got in through the bottom, there’s a strong possibility your board is liquid damaged. Which would be a huge bummer.

If you’re out of warranty, and it doesn’t power on, what do you have to lose?
