How to remove an old Id?
I did restart my brother's old iPhone without removing the Id to use it as new and it required the Id and the password and he doesn't remember because he did not use it.
Is this a good question?

Only one way is when you have original reciept contact apple for unlock. Exist also many websites for unlocking icloud lock but your model is not rentabil. (the unlock cost +/- 100€) you can try also on iforgot.com reset the password but you must have some acces to registrated email or phone number. But dont trust some youtube tutorial or chep unlocks. All is scam, apple id till now not possible bypass

you'll have to have your brother bring it to a apple store to get it removed, and proof he actually owns the phone (a receipt should work)
i wouldnt recommend a "unlocker" as they really just reprogram the cpu into thinking the icloud lock is gone, therefore affecting your phones already slow processor to make it even slower, much less theres virtually no unlockers for a iphone that old
also, that iphone is 10 years old, making it kinda dangerous to use on the internet, as the last time it got a update would have been in about 2016-2015..... about 7 years ago.... so not really recommended to use as a personal smartphone

The last update was about 6 months ago, January 23, 2023. It got iOS 12, unlike the 5(non-S) and the 5C which were stuck on iOS 10.
