Is my motherboard still usable?

Well. I have good news, and bad news. It’s a solid maybe. And ultimately it probably depends on exactly how far the cut penetrates.It might be okay? Your NFC (Apple Pay) may not work. The line for the antenna for that goes right through that spot on the board. The thing I would be most worried about is if it goes super deep and interferes with lines that go to the logic EEPROM.

Essentially it’s a tiny chip that contains unique data that your phone needs to boot. It might power on, but it won’t boot.

So we’ll hope that’s not a problem. There is one other line that goes through that area, but I don’t recall off hand what it is. I don’t believe it was critical.

So essentially what I’m saying is. It’s not an automatic no. Depending on what you’re trying to get out of it, you might be fine.

The cut doesn't go super deep. I took the motherboard out of a phone because I was replacing the phone housing. Thank you so much for answering my question.
