Help me troubleshoot my iMac.

I replaced thermal paste, replaced the HDD with a SDD, and cleaned out the fans and case. No accidents, all connections accounted for. Now, absolute silence and no picture when power button is pushed. I've re-opened twice after going to google and to apple support and I can't find anything wrong.

I'm afraid this did not help. I have purchased a replacement power supply from eBay. I have some compatible SODIMMS which will replace the current ones. I 'm arranging for someone to help me check the power switch ( this is a stretch, I know). If this doesn't work, I'm done, and I will part it out and sell it. Thank you for your help.

You likely didn’t sit the CPU chip into the socket correctly. The design Apple went with is a bit tricky! Go back removing the heatsink and inspect the chip and the socket for damage if you are lucky, reseat the chip but soften the springs a bit.
