Power Button does not work.

This laptop came with several missing components. I have replaced everything and it all seems to work, except the power button. I have tried to press the button directly on the board, but nothing happens. Is there any solution? I would be open to "rigging" it if nothing else works.

Hi @gatewaynomad

According to the schematic for the laptop (see p.40) the Power button switch is an SKRBAAE010_4P tactile switch. (supplier example only). Here's the datasheet that shows the configuration of the switch.

Search online using the switch type number only to find suppliers that suit you best.

if you have a multimeter, i will suggest checking the voltage on the power button pin, it should be around 3v, if you didn't find any voltage around the power button pins, then it could be likely the IC that generates 3v rails or could be some broken traces. i can give you more suggestion if you can provide more information about this laptop
