The device is water damaged, but it turned on twice randomly.

How do I find out what part to replace, or even if I need to replace a part. It turned on randomly and I have no idea what caused the random turn on, or what is causing it to not turn on at all.

Answer this question I have this problem too

With liquid damage of any kind, your eyes will be your best clue. Parts which the liquid contacted directly will be the most likely ones to fail. But it’s hard to know that without getting eyes on them. Have you opened up the device yet? I would start there. Attach some photos to your question if you want additional eyes on things.
