Broken headphone jack inside socket.

So me overenthusiastic Jack Russell got caught up in my headphones , which were plugged into my macbook at the time , and ended up breaking the jack in half.

Trouble is , the second half is all the way up the socket , the macbook thinks it's connected to headphones and won't play any sound over the speakers , I have tried using super glue , epoxy , JB Weld to try and get a grip on it and yank it out but to no avail , it's completely stuck.

I'm trying to source a replacement audio socket but I'm having trouble finding one .Any ideas where i could start?

My last resort would be to buy a damaged logicboard and cannibalise the port from it , but it seems like such a waste to buy a whole logicboard just to get one component off it .

Thanks in advance

Hi! This happened to me once but I managed to get it out with a cotton bud. I cut one of the cotton bud ends off, and put it into the headphone jack. The hollow stick was just the right size to 'grab' the bit of headphone pin and pull it out! It was amazing. Hope that works for you.
