How to fix the water damage?

XboxUser Corrosion finally killed it. Time to try to resurrect it. First start taking it apart (STOP using it, you are just killing it faster;-)

Disassemble your Xbox by using [these guides] . After you disassembled your Xbox clean all the boards, board connectors and cable ends with +90% isopropyl alcohol. Follow this guide, and even so it was written for an iPhone, all the points are still pertinent to your console as well. While you clean your board, check for any obvious damage, like burned or missing components etc. Check your boards closely for corrosion damage. Post pictures of those boards with your QUESTION. Use this guide to add images to your QUESTION Adding images to an existing question Best thing to do would be to clean it with an ultrasonic cleaner, but if you do not have access to one, this will at least help. You also want to remove the fan and heatsink and replace the thermal paste. Once all this is done, reassemble your console and then reevaluate. Until it is cleaned, everything will only be a guess. Even with all this, water damage has only a small chance to be fully repaired, but at least you can give it a try.
