Why does my laptop do strange things in the screen and then turns off?

Help me guys my laptop has been doing strange things recently.

When I turn my laptop on it does lines on the screen and strange colours and then fans spin so fast and the device turns off and sometimes when I click on the power button the fans spin and then the laptop shuts down it doesn't even startup!

It was working fine but I left it 3 months because of school and when I started using it again it started doing those strange things on the laptop.

The problem got worse and worse but I didn't care of it.

I have read about the problem and what I found is the problem might be on the screen but I connected it to a monitor and it still doing the same.

I found too that the problem might be from the video card but I opened the laptop myself and the video card was fine but I found something named IEC and its wire was cut.

I didn't try to connect it again myself because I was scared to make the problem mush worse than before.

So is the problem is from the IEC or it might be from another thing in the motherboard.

And thanks to the community

Just standards. IEC stands for "International Electrotechnical Commission".

ISO standards are standards developed by the standardisation institute ISO, and IEC standards are developed by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). EN standards are usually ISO or IEC standards that the European Commission has harmonised.

You didn't mention if the laptop was free of dust when you openned it.

Try reseating the RAM chips.

I also faced it and as a student I need to fix it asap

Yo, dude, I checked out your issue. It's a bit late to answer, but maybe someone needs it. Sounds like a classic case of a hardware problem, maybe with the graphics card or the motherboard. If you're not tech-savvy, don't try to fix it yourself or you might end up making it worse. Take it to a professional or a computer repair shop and have them diagnose and fix the issue.
