Rear glass replacement, glue or gasket?

I’m about to replace the rear glass on my iPhone 11 Pro and I’ve managed to find a 3M gasket on eBay but would like to know if the B6000/7000 glue is a better product and should I use it over the gasket?

Thanks in advance

Both should work fine the 3M Back plate tape will be easier. If you have never tried changing back glass on a iPhone it is not easy unless you are using a laser. most videos show the use of liquid nitrogen or extreme heat. It is a very time consuming process due to the strong glue used by Apple.

@berrypatchit

Thanks for the insight, I’m a diy-repair freak at the mo so a laser is a bit of big tech I don’t have but in all seriousness I am considering making a step up and offering my services to friends and colleagues I will be getting more tools as and when.

Thanks again for the tip 👍

I’ve always used a laser and T7000. Not had one lift yet.

I've used the B7000 and T7000 for years with no issue... the 3m is inferior with my experience and recently changed to the Mechanic Cold Press Glue and didn't notice any difference other than quicker cure times under clamps.
