Replacing the metal frame

Hi I wanted to replaced the metal frame on my iPhone 4 because it is badly scratched. I want to know if doing it can also solve the antenn problem caused by touching the bottom left of the phone.

Thanks

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Have you had lots of experience fixing iPhones? If not then i highly recommend to let someone else do this for you as it requires an entire part strip, transferring all parts (big and small) to the new frame.

I buff the frames up and take out the scratches on alot of them using a bench top buffer and white rouge as well as tripoli and jewelers rouge. It takes out all the scratches and will polish it up quite well. You can buy buffing wheels at most any hardware store. This works great on the backs of ipods makes them look almost new.

hello!!

To your question of the antenna problem changing the mid frame will not fix this problem,Also if you haven't had a lot of experience working in the inside of the iPhone 4,you should follow a guide or have somebody do this for you because it involves a entire parts transfer, meaning you have to take everything out of the iPhone. If i find any guides i will post them on here:)

How do you change the mid frame? I would like to resell my iPhone 4, but my iPhone's silver band is badly scratched. Also, is the repair easy, medium, or difficult(if possible to replace). Thank you.

How much does it cost? Is it safe?

It is possible but like stated above if you havent worked inside your iphone before then its not something you should just jump into. It is difficult because you have to remove everything from one frame to the other but if you have worked with the iphone alot then i say go for it it is totally worth it. I am currently rocking a transparent iphone front and back with green border and a green frame

I have just replaced the mid frame on a 4s, which is a bit more work than the 4, but I totally agree with the other guys,if you have not had a @!*% of a lot of experience inside a phone, then get someone to do it for you,as it is, as the guys say a total strip and replace.to be honest it has to be THE hardest repair on the 4, as nothing else entails this amount of work
