Replacement Screen available in Europe

So my touch screen is broken and while a replacement is available in the US, it is not in any european ifixit store. Any info on when they will become available in Europe/Germany?

Also I thought about ordering from the US-Store. Does anybody have experience about custom duties and how long it will take?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

@letstrythisnext, This was discussed last year on the Meta part of iFixit, and at that time there were no certain information about when new stock would come to the EU store, unfortunately.

It can be hard for iFixit to keep everything in stock in all international Stores, but I know they try their hardest to keep up to date.

As for ordering from the US store, it depends on which country you’re in. Some countries aren’t on the list of countries that can use the US store at all, but some are. And then it depends on what the governing law in your country is. What the tax percentage is, import fees, etc.

Thanks for your reply, @geirandersen. I'm from Germany. After your answer I was ready to pay the extra fees and order from the US-Store. Unfortunately the screen can only be shipped in the US due to shipping regulations. Also it is not possible to order from the canadian or australian shop :(

This is very disappointing for me, since one of the reasons I decided to buy the pixel 6a was reparability. I wonder what those regulations are, can't be any government rules. I guess it must be some requirement from Google? I'll try to find out. Any helpful infomation is welcome :)

@letstrythisnext I don’t know about screens and shipping, never had an issue there. Batteries however, that’s really difficult!

There are 6A screens available in the EU, mobile parts.shop is one (I’ve never used them). ReplaceBase does not have it in stock though, they’re one of my go-to’s when I can’t get something from iFixit.

Sorry for the necro buy I came to this post with the same issue. I can't buy from the US and I can't find the screen in shops from Europe.

Are there any news about the stock of screens? I can't use my phone right now and it's a bit frustrating not being able to easily repair it.

@strongbow thanks for the info, I see that there are some screens in ebay in my country too.

I'll wait just in case Ifixit can provide me the part instead since I trust them much more.

@saturno the link is for a trusted seller I use. Hope you get one soon.

I managed to get a screen for iFixit a few days ago after waiting for months. They had 70 units in stock and it was all gone in a couple of hours. the resellers got it all as soon as they noticed :'(

by

@saturno I feel your struggle. I had to wait about three months until a hundred of them were in stock. There is an option to be notified when they are available again. I would use this and be quick
