“Mouse” bar (left touch) not working properly

Hello everyone,

The left side of the mouse bar is working badly lately. What part I need to look for to replace ?

It seems being the mechanical part of the mouse bar because when I press it it stay down.

The trackpad is part of the uppercase assembly. Here’s the guide MacBook Pro 15" Core 2 Duo Models A1226 and A1260 Upper Case Replacement

Finding the part will be tricky! Most are from used systems these days so be careful! Make sure you can return it if it’s not in good shape.

Does it has a spring or similar under the trackpad?

@matteo tettamanti - There’s more involved than a spring which is the failure. The trackpad or case can be distorted, the micro switch and just dirt jamming it up. Sadly, Apple didn’t make this assembly repairable.
