How do I locate the ssd in the A1707 MacBook Pro

My A1707 logic board has failed. Is it possible to remove the ssd and put it into another Mac or an enclosure?

I have this same problem. The SSD is just memory chips soldered to the motherboard. It seems there is a connector and a special Apple hardware tool that allows access and decryption of the SSD to mount the "drive" on another machine. But it's not easy to find and I think you'll be better off just paying someone who has the tool to pull your data off.

Nope! It is a collection of flash chips soldered to the logic board and Apple uses a powerful encryption system so even if you took the chips off you can’t access the data on them

Review the MacBook Pro 15" Touch Bar Teardown which is functionally the same system. Jump to Step 9 locate the Orange marked and on Step10 the Red chips.
