How to repair the screen automatically goes on and off in MacBook Pro

After sometime of starting the Mac Book Pro the screen goes on and off automatically. Stops going on and off and then starts again to go on and off. Please help

Sanjeev, What year and model is your MacBook? Also, has something happened, like fex did you replace any part(s) or did it sustain any damage?
