Charging, not changing, right?
We'll need more information to be able to help you, Jacob. Okay, first off, do you know for sure it's charging; is there some indicator like a buzz or a light when you plug in the charger?
Is this something that's just started recently? Have there been any changes to the phone lately, like new charger, system update, getting dropped or wet, etc?
Since a phone with a dead battery will behave just like what you're describing, we need to make sure it is indeed getting charged. So have you tried a different charger and a different charging cord? You're sure the outlet works, right?
You've checked the charging port for any dirt or obstruction? Cleaned it with a toothpick and some isopropyl alcohol?
Give some of that a try and get back to us with more information and I'm sure we can figure it out.
