Piece broke off from Insert eject motor sensor in PS4 Slim

Hey

Recently my PS4 stopped being able to have any disc properly read. I basically can slide in the disc without it being read or the console making any noise. When I opened the PS4 I noticed that one of the 2 black "prongs" (don't know what they're called) broke off. Sorry if I didn't explain it too well (for reference: I added a pic of that sensor with the broken piece circled in black).

I found that little broken-off piece and now I'm unsure how to proceed. I'm inexperienced with fixing any electronics which is why I'm asking here.

Could I precisely "glue" the broken-off piece back to its correct place and would that fix the problem? Or is the sensor a lost cause and even if I have the broken piece? And lastly, could I still use my game discs without that sensor? Basically manually inserting it and maybe the console then somehow reads it?

Would greatly appreciate any help and thank you very much for your time.

Glue it on properly and it won't make a difference. Otherwise, just buy a replacement one. You will know soon enough if it still nog working.

You can replace just that board with the motor and 3 switches.
