starts normally but you can see very little of the image

a question? If everything is measured and it is perfect, what would be the step to follow where would the problem be in the Flex?

because I have the same problem, the iMac 21.5 Late 2013 14.1 starts normally but you can see very little of the image of the apple when it is starting

Now, I did tests with another iMac 21.5 Late 2012 and I get the same problem, the screen is dark, it is impossible for me to believe that something on the Board has been damaged in both iMacs @iphix

Update (09/16/2022)

I will have to do the measurement on the board to be sure, my board is 820-3588-A @oldturkey03

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

@elcheca1 - This sounds like the backlight LED strip within the display assembly has an issue. Sadly, it will require a new display assembly as the display is well sealed.

the screen turns on sometimes, I've always thought it could be the BACKLIGHT LED strip, what bad luck mine was hoping it was backlight led strip it would be to get one of those strips and do the last test

@elcheca1 "I get the same problem, the screen is dark, it is impossible for me to believe that something on the Board has been damaged in both iMacs" unlikely that it is your backlight strip(s) on two LCD screens. " If everything is measured and it is perfect, " what exactly did you measure? Your logic board is a 820-3302-A? All of your diagnostic LED's on the logic board lit?

@oldturkey03 if your display is fully functional then just replace this filter

I think that oldturkey03 and I have the same problem, tomorrow I will do the measurement test, but if it is the filter that is damaged, where is it purchased, excuse my ignorance @iphix

If you tested the same lcd on two different imacs, then there is a high possibility the lcd backlight is burned

Which means you’ll need a new lcd display.

My iMac as I remember when I replaced the filter ( ordered from Alibaba) the light worked right away no issues.
