logic board?... or something less expensive

My power cord to this PowerBook stopped charging my computer eons ago.... after research.i thought it might be the logic board that gave out but i just saw a link over to the right of here about a possible DC board that might be out? (for this model?)

anyways i want to get an enclosure for the hard drive to salvage what files are on there and just do away with the rest of the laptop.

what KIND OF ENCLOSURE would support a 44 pin ATA-5 drive? its from toshiba from my PowerBook G5 onyx ...

any feedback is greatly appreciated !

Thank You

'Berto

Any suggestions?

Do not get one for SATA

Take a look at the old AC power input, the tips on these break a lot and sometimes lodge in the DC IN port. Let me know if this is the case and we'll work on that repair.

I think i see the different ones SATA ATA and IDE...

i bought a SATA one and found out that doesn't fit my 44-pin HD...

(I take it SATA is too advanced for my poor onyx toshiba 30 GB)

so i guess we go for ATA or IDE?

what do you think?

thank you guys very much for the quick answers...

its frustrating when you're so close to fixing a problem...and then its after hours and comp usas and other computer stores are CLOSED!@

Check the date and time on your computer, I don't think it's set right
