Hi @onionshake

What is the status of the touch pad in Device Manager?

Go to Device Manager > Mice and other pointing devices > right click on the touch pad entry > Properties > General tab. In the Device Status box, does it show "This device is working properly"? If so then there's a hardware problem with the touchpad, e.g. faulty touchpad, loose cable etc.

Here's the maintenace and service guide for the laptop. On p.79 is shows that you have to completely dis-assemble the laptop to get to the top cover/keyboard assembly so that you can access the touchpad.

If it is determined that it is faulty, I'm not sure if you can get a separate touchpad or if you have to get a complete top cover/keyboard assembly which includes the touchpad. The country specific part numbers for the top cover assembly are also found on p.79. Search online using the part number only appropriate to your model to find suppliers. Usually the part number can also be found somewhere on the underside of the assembly if you wish to verify the number.
