How do I set the machine to rinse in COLD water only?

Thank you for solving my problem with my washer’s CL. I was very frustrated trying to do it on my own.

Hi,

Did you mean an LG WM4000HWA?

Not sure if you mean select a cold water rinse or run a cold water rinse cycle only.

Here's an image taken from the user manual that shows how to select a rinse and spin cycle only.

It also shows that all rinse cycles are normally done in cold water.

FWIW, I am having an issue with my brand new LG using hot water for rinses. I definitely have the hot water connected properly. I've triple checked. So it could be an issue with the washer.

I found this question searching to see if maybe there is something I'm missing before contacting LG because my clothes are hot when I open the machine after a wash or even just a rinse cycle.

@andreasoper

What is the model number of the washer?

I’m having the same issue. Even the gentle cycle set on cold does a warm rinse & there doesn’t appear to be a way to set a cold rinse. I have LG ThinQ model WM3600HWA.

@gaileelliott

Did you try the "tap cold" temperature option at all?

According to the user manual on p.29 "All rinses use unheated cold water" so if yours never does regardless of the temp setting i.e. tap cold or cold, contact LG as it isn't doing what it should do.
