Is it the hard disk cable

Hello. my macbook pro 13 stopped working. I try to reboot it true cd. but i can't find the hard drive disk in utils . I both a new hard drive because i though it was damaged. Installed the new one, but it didn't find this one either . Then i both a Kabinett for my old hard drive and try to booth start up mac os from this and it works fine without problems so its not the hard disk. Is it the cable thats the problem

for almost 2 years ive been using my mbp, ive changed the cable 4 times!

You've probably gotten a 3GHz SATA drive and your Mac will only read at 1.5 GHz. Go to the web site of the maker and look up the jumper setting on the drive and set it for a lower speed.

but i can't find the old one (the original from mac ) either. I have read that the cable from the hard disk often get damaged in macbook pro 2009 and 2010 models.
