Controller only works on charge

DualShock 4 CUH-ZCT2

The DualShock 4 CUH-ZCT2 was announced in 2016 to replace the CUH-ZCT1 controller released in 2013. This controller is similar to the previous model.

My controller only works when i put it on charge, but when i take it off it completely dies.

It also happened with another controller i used and im not sure if the problem was the ps4 magnetic charger i brought from a shop

The battery won’t hold a charge maybe.

I’ve just bought a controller with same problem. Any fix?

Sounds reasonable.

Take the battery out and see if it is puffy.
