Sound Problem after changing battery

After changing my iPhone 8 battery, i have a very loud screeching sound when i press the home button - and some other buttons. and whwen someone calls me.

but i can hear the conversation normally, and the other person on the other phone can also hear me normally.

the squeeking sound doesn’t go away when i put the phone on silent, any idea how to fix this?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Sounds like the screws for the vibrator motor came loose check it out and just tighten them up its right below the battery.

It stopped for a while and now the sound started again, anything else I can do?

the screws on the taptic engine are too loose?

it's like a squeeking sound.

thank you

Maybe record the actual noise so we have a point of reference? I know this may be difficult to achieve if it's intermittent.

Agree this sounds like it could be an issue with the taptic engine or the screws since these are all situations which would have associated vibrations.

@ririe88 hmm I've also seen the holes where the screws go in for the vibrator motor come loose from the frame of the phone if the taptic engine still feels loose after tightening the screws I would use some t-7000 on the 3 holes to make sure its holding onto the frame of the phone.

Sounds like the haptic engine that is responsible for vibrations is not fully screwed down causing it to rattle around more than it is supposed to
