True Depth Camera Issue- Swap possible?

Hi everyone

i have 2 XR’s, 1 main board is damaged, everything else is fine, the other is perfect except during a screen replacement(4th time-lol) the face recognition stopped working. I am always careful and have done maybe 100 XR’s and never had this issue. i was wondering if i could transfer the entire assemble between phones or is it deeper in the system than just transferring both screen side sensors and main body cameras to other phone? the one with the board damage face recognition is perfect, was hoping to just swap it out on the other phone, but if the system needs the originals i guess i have 2 new donor phones - lol

thx

The front camera and the sensor on the screen are only compatible with the original motherboard they are tied together. I would check your contacts/connections and make sure you dont have a bent pin or a dirty connection. I would also check the cable from the sensor were it makes the 90 degree turn that's the spot that is easy to tear. I can't remember the name of the sensor on the screen I had a stroke a few years ago and sometimes I can't remember names and words but I know that you know which sensor I was talking about. If you are good with microsoldering you can change the chip onto a new cable and it will work.
