My right controller is having problems

When I have my split pad pro it stops functioning mid game and it goes from running smoothly to the right one not responding and when I check the controller settings it shows the right one is not connected and I know it’s not my switch because the joy con works perfectly when connected. So in conclusion my right hori split pad pro is not connecting to my switch

The disassembly guide for the right controller (Steps 4 & 5) shows you the rail that is used to connect the controller to the switch. That is where you would need to look for bent pins or broken plastics. This is hard to diagnose remotely without seeing pictures of those pieces on your controller. The left hand side of Step 5-picture 1 shows the ribbon cable that goes to the connector that interfaces with the switch. The little pins that are embedded in the little plastic protrusion on the very left of the picture is how it plugs into the switch and would be the place to inspect. See the picture below:
