I replaced the bazel under screenand now the screen is dark

I was wondering if it’s possible to damage the cable for the screen as I saw a crack in cable right under the screen? The screen is black to though but the light can be put high

I can't really see from the picture where it broke, but with those cables there's really nothing one can do. Unfortunately I had to trash screens that looked fine even under the microscope. Luckily those A1706/A1708 screens don't cost as much as the previous A1502 series. Just make sure the seller you choose checks the camera before shipping, there's around a bunch of displays with very bad quality webcams.

Not only possible, but very likely unless one has the right tools and quite a bit of experience in doing it. Retina’s flat cables are very easily damaged. You have probably damaged one EDP cable and that can’t be repaired, time for a new display.
