Why is my PS4 turning off in sleep mode?
Somewhat recently, my PS4 Slim has started turning off while in sleep mode. When entering sleep mode, the console will make a chirping/squeaking noise (not a beeping noise, like it does when it powers on) for a few moments before turning off. When I leave it for a while, the entire system will turn off. When I power it back on (have to use the console instead of the controller) it prompts saying that the system wasn’t shut off properly. If I power the system off and on, instead of using sleep mode, everything is otherwise fine.
I have tried a few things, without much luck.
- I’ve tried unplugging the system and letting it sit before plugging it back in.
- I’ve tried rebuilding the database.
- I’ve double-checked the power settings.
I held my ear close to the system during startup/shutdown near where the hard drive is, and the noise doesn’t seem to be originating from there.
The fact that it’s shutting down in sleep mode suggests that perhaps it’s a power supply issue. Has anybody else experienced this?
If it is in fact a power supply issue, how easily can I perform this repair myself?
Is this a good question?
This is happening to my ps4 slim it beeps for like a minute then turns off and I don’t know what it is can someone help me please

If it's beeping like that than it's probably overheating. Take it apart and clean/dust it
