MB Pro AHT Version

I have a MB Pro 2012 and I need to find the correct AHT version for this particular computer. Currently, I am running El Capitan.

Obviously, when I use D or Cmd + D it invokes Internet Recovery which then gives this message "Error....Cannot Load "EFI/Drivers/TestSupport.efi".

I did refer to the Github article and I did follow the directions and it didn't work when using the proper .dmg file.

MacBook Pro 9,1

Mac-4B7AC7E43945597E

I understand I could use other utilities to check the hardware status of the computer. I am not having any issues but it is helpful to have in case I do need to use it.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Thanks for the response. I did and that is the Github article that I reference earlier. I am not sure I did something wrong but it didn't work.

Your other option is finding the Apple Service Diagnostic (ASD) 3S155. All Apple Hardware Test (AHT) & Apple Service Diagnostic (ASD) disks

I’ve mostly given up on Apples diagnostics as Apple has made it so hard to just do verification level testing which is what most people need on the older systems.

What are you using now to test the hardware on older computers?

@Philip Fisher - For general testing I find CoconutBattery and TG Pro (full version) offers quite a lot of data. Most problems can be identified with these.

Once it get to my desk its direct measurements from the logic board.
