I replaced my screen and battery. Shows no sign of turning on.

I purchased the screen and battery replacement kits and went through the process of replacing both components on my Pixel 3 XL. I had no trouble through the repair but after reconstructing the phone it shows no signs of turning on, charging, etc. I followed both tutorials to the letter and I’m not sure what could be causing a complete lack of function. I’ve gone back through to double check every connector twice now and I’ve got no screws or anything left over. I have also tried with the old battery and there has been no change.

The phone worked fine before, just a cracked screen.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

When plugged into a charger the motherboard and battery connector warm up. No more than you'd expect, but enough to show it is taking a charge. Still no display or vibrate to suggest it is turning on.

Try removing the new display and connect the cracked one to see if it lights up.

Got it diagnosed by a local shop, apparently something on the motherboard got knocked or damaged, so motherboard replacement is next on the list.

Issue was some component near the display connector got knocked off. No schematics so replacing the component wasn’t possible.

Bought a 3 XL with a busted screen for next to nothing on ebay and swapped the motherboards. All is fixed now.
