How to replace the flex cable

i took my samsung intercept in to get repaired.they told me it was the flex cable that needed replaced and wanted to charge me 79.00.So now I am researching on how to do this myself.I have already ordered the flex cable.I now just need instructions on how to replace it

scott, check on here for the Incercept SPH-M910 disassembly. Hope this helps to get you started.

Same problem here, and the dis-assembly article does not go that far. Between step 8 and 9, there could be more detail showing how the LCD flex is mounted to the keyboard slider. The flex terminates on a board which is attached to the keyboard slider mechanism. This ebay listing http://www.ebay.com/itm/Flex-Cable-for-S... (or search ebay for m910 flex) shows the board. It is mounted with pins and adhesive and pops out.
