How come the replacement screen I bought doesnt match my phone?

Block Image

I have an iphone x and was trying to replace my screen. On the left is the screen i received - it seems to have support brackets all the way around and does not fit my phone. However, my original screen does not have these brackets and is flat all the way around. Does anyone know what my problem is + why my iphone x seems to be different than the normal one?

I think it snap of of the original screen and sit stuck in the housing, take a look if the part is still left in the housing and take it out.

You’ve torn the bezel off the screen, normally it doesn’t happen, usually it happens with phones that are heavily corroded by sweat, or you’ve got a non-original screen to begin with, the bezel wasn’t attached to the screen securely on those screens.
