MacBook backlight slightly flickering

I closed the lid on my MacBook and after I woke if from sleep the backlight slightly flickers, its a consistent flicker and very slight but also very noticeable. It only happens when there are light colors on the screen (which makes sense if its a backlight issue). When i plugged it in the flicker went away for a few seconds but then it came back. I have already tried resetting smc and pvram/nvram to no avail

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Take a look at this MacBook Pro Retina Display Teardown Jump down to Step 13 where you can see the discreet LED's.

These displays are not really serviceable.

Is this about the keyboard or the display, because I thought you were talking about the keyboard

@jellybean2_0 - "It only happens when there are light colors on the screen" I think clarifies its the display thats in question.

I wanted to check the battery as a failing battery can cause voltage stability issues. Which in turn would affect the backlight.
