My MacBook keeps shutting down when I leave it unplugged overnight

My macbook is working completely fine except for the problem in the title.

When i turn it on the next morning, it usually has to take a couple tries to reboot (it makes the boot chime, and then shuts down again, then boot chimes again and then turns on)

can anyone help?

@William Vernia - OK, so you’ve put in a new battery a few years ago which is good!

I had suspected that was your issue. But did you try resetting your SMC yet? How to reset the SMC of your Mac
