The newer TouchBar systems have soldered RAM and storage to the logic board as such there is no possibility to upgrade the system after purchase it is what it is!

The 2017 system uses the same hardware design as the 2016 model. Checkout the MacBook Pro 15" Touch Bar Teardown. Jump down to Step 8 The chips in question Samsung K9PHGY8 flash storage
