Exiting pages, or apps

I keep getting stuck on random pages, apps.

Like the phone or contacts . I m on page where I select contact to delete , if I delete one I can exit screen, and get on with whateva. But if I don't select contact to delete, there's no way to exit .

I've tried swiping to left right up etc. No joy. No “back” icon either .

So unless I delete summit I can't go back to last page. I can press home button , but when I go into contacts again , it's same page. Doing my head in.

Hi,

Try the following and check if any of them resolve the problem.

i). Wipe the cache partition and then check if it now works OK.

ii). Start the phone in safe mode and check if it now works OK.

If it works OK in safe mode then a downloaded app is the cause of the problem. You will need to uninstall each downloaded app, one by one and test the phone in normal mode between each uninstall to see if it works OK. When it does then the last downloaded app that was uninstalled was the culprit. A downloaded app is one that you downloaded and installed on the phone and wasn’t pre-installed on the phone when you first got it.

iii). Try a factory restore and check if that resolves the problem.

Be aware that a factory restore will erase all your data and downloaded apps. It will restore the phone to its factory default condition (or last system updated condition), so backup the phone first to a computer or the cloud, before performing the factory restore.

If the phone has a Google account then you will also need to know the user ID and password so that you can access the phone again once it has been reset. This is because of the FRP lock that is enabled when the phone has been reset.

Once you have backed up the phone using the phone’s backup feature, reset the phone using the phone’s factory restore feature. (found in Settings)

Once the phone has been reset back to its factory default condition, check if it works OK.

If it does then using the backup that you made earlier, restore the phone to what it was by using the phone’s restore feature. Once it has been restored check that it still works OK. If so then the reset has resolved the problem
