MacBook Air A1466 from 2017 - DC board problem

It looks like my Macbook Air A1466 from 2017, that is what the Apple website says, when put in the serial number.

I think the DC board is broken but online I can only find DC board for the 2013 version, will this work or do I need a DC board specific for the 2017 model?

Apple stuck with the same design with the 13” MacBook Air from 2013 through to 2017. In this case the I/O board is used across all the systems in this series MacBook Air 13" (Mid 2013-2017) I/O Board and here’s the guide to put it in MacBook Air 13" Early 2017 I/O Board Cable Replacement I would also replace the MacBook Air 13" (Mid 2013-2017) I/O Board Cable as sometimes it also fails.

MacBook Air 13" (Mid 2013-2017) I/O Board Image

Hi @stonesat

There is a board number on your DC in board, usually something like 820-XXXX. Unfortunately you need to take it out because it is usually on the bottom side. Once you have the serial you should be able to look for that specific DC in board online.

Hope it helps!
