iPhone in boot loop when charger connected after screen replacement

I replaced my screen for an iPhone 8 that was badly damaged and I don’t get anything when I try to power it on. When I connect a lightning cable I just get a boot loop. I have already tried to proximity sensor and disconnected the selfie camera with still no luck. Any ideas?

Chosen Solution

This will be a battery problem.

·         Replace the battery.

·         Check the battery connector on the logic board.

·         Make sure no components have been nudged around the battery connector.

·         Try putting some force on the connector when booting.
