Will a 2011 MacBook Air Trackpad work on a 2012 MacBook Air

I salvaged a trackpad from a broken mac from 2011, I have a working 2012 Macbook Air with Trackpad issues. Will this trackpad work or do I need to buy one specifically for the 2012 model? Thanks!
