hard drive picture shows on screen when turning computer on
When I turned on my computer this morning it would not turn on and then when it did it came up first with a picture of a hard drive.

Looks like your hard drive could be faulty. Thera are many methods to check it out using Disk Utility software included in your MB installation disk. If you don't have the installation disk you can connect your MB to another mac via firewire and scan the disk with Disk Utility or boot from an external USB or Firewire hard disk then verify your internal disk via the Disk Utility software located on the mac host.
