VGA No Signal when Windows XP logo Appears

Hello guys ,I hope you are doing well! So I am trying to boot up an old pc (from 2006 to be exact) using a Samsung HDD with Windows XP installed. I have selected it to be the first one in boot priority. When it's booting its asking me which mode I want to enter (safe or normal).

Whatever I select , it tries to boot ( showing me the Windows XP logo) and immediately stops and a message saying VGA NO SIGNAL Appears.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated :)

Answer this question I have this problem too

Hi

What is the make and model number of the PC or the motherboard if it is a custom build?

Was the HDD with Win XP already installed, taken from another computer?

If so you will have troubles making it start when connected to a different motherboard as the hardware will be different and therefore the wrong drivers will be already installed in the OS.

Hi @GO4GAME

I know nothing about servers but looking at this link the OS may have to be newly installed on a HDD in the server and not be an existing installation from another PC but i may be wrong about that.

Also it appears that even then there may be problems. Maybe try a Linux install as suggested in the link

Sorry I can't help more with this

Unplug the VGA, then Wait for a couple of minutes, and then reconnect the VGA cable to your computer and monitor . Plug the Power cable back to your computer and monitor. Turn on . Try using an external monitor.
