How do I get a small bead out of my headphone jack?

there is a small bead in my headphone jack and i cannot seem to shake it out.

If it's metal, use a magnet...if it's plastic, use a tooth pick with a very sticky glue-type something on the end...like, that rubber glue that is on postal envelopes.

or if you have access to a small vacuum source, connect a small tube to it and have the vacuum try to loosen it. My guess is that the bead is stuck on the internal contact that tells the device that a headphone is plugged in. So be careful when you stick something in it. Good luck
