Hello,
In case battery is not charging while MacBook Pro on but while its switch off then charging the battery. Sometimes the battery charges few seconds while it’s on.
Is this a good question?

If the MagSafe LED is not lit then the MagSafe connector on the cord and/or the system is dirty or damaged. Review this Apple T/N Apple Portables: Troubleshooting MagSafe adapters
