Are you referring to a record player? If so, there are 3 settings, 33/45/78 slow medium and fast. Each number corresponds to a certain record size. If you're not referring to a record player……

I have the switch on 33 and and turntable still goes faster. The records, while not sounding like The Chipmunks, are still changing the pitch higher. I have been unable to locate the capstan speed adjustment screw, hence the question.

Gary Sivertsen I believe the motor speed is controlled through an IC on the motor itself. We would need to see what your turntable shows on the underside. If this applies to your model as well, then you most likely cannot adjust the speed. Post some good pictures with your QUESTION of what you find so we can see what you see. We would need to see if there are any trim pods etc,
