LCD showing multiple of the same image after rebuild

I was fixing a broken screen/digitizer on a 6th gen iPad and now have issues with the LCD after rebuilding it. Your guide was great. Minus dealing with the broken glass, I had no major issues disassembling the iPad and the reassembly was easy. Things went wrong though when I turned the iPad back on to check to see if the new screen worked. The LCD was now showing multiple of the same image. There’s also a white bar near the top of the screen. I’ve attached a photo so you can see what I’m talking about. I was super careful with the LCD when I removed it and don’t recall bending it or putting any other significant force on it… however, I’m not ruling out that maybe I did. Is my LCD hosed or is there something else I can try to fix it? Thanks

Take it apart and inspect the display connectors and cables for damage. By the looks of it you did leave a few fingerprints on the LCD but that’s not a huge issue as you can gently wipe them off. Anyways if the connectors look good I would try another LCD. If a new LCD still shows the same problem them you’ve probably got a board issue on your hands and it will need to be repaired by a microsoldering specialist. Did you make sure to disconnect the battery and put something under the board between the battery before disconnecting the screen?

Connectors and cables look good. I did disconnect the battery as shown in the guide. I will try a new LCD and see if that works. Thanks.
