Identifying torn flex cable iPhone 6

Block Image

Block Image

Hi there! I have an iPhone 6 (model A1549) that’s been in rough shape for a while now but working perfectly. Recently this flex cable up top, by the cameras, tore in two places (circled in the first picture) and now the phone won’t turn on nor does my laptop recognise it when I plug it in. Any guidance on what cable this is?

Ideally I would just like to get the phone on again so I can back up the data on it. Thank you for any and all help! :) (Click on the photos to see them better and please ignore all the dust in the pictures

That torn cables shouldn’t effect whether or not the phone turns on because one is for the camera assembly and the other goes to the home button and it doesn’t need those components to boot up and work. That battery on the other hand looks like it’s starting to puff up at least from what I can tell in the images you posted. You can get a replacement battery either from a donor or just order one online as you’re just going after data but you may need to replace that torn home button flex which is a cheap and easy repair.
