The electrical cord has split where it wraps around upper cord hook

Short answer is no as the connections are soldered in. Long answer. Yes this can be replaced, however it is a pain in the arse as you have to take every screw out. However once you do this, there are screws under the top panel where the power, lift away buttons are. I couldn’t actually get to this off as I think it’s glued on. I snapped these points getting it off. The electrical cables are soldered into the main switch so I snipped and connected old to new.

Might be simpler to cut the cable where it’s split and join it there. It’s only live and neutral.
