Why does my PlayStation keep saying it’s overheating

So I took apart my ps4 because it really needed cleaned out and I took everything apart so I could clean what needed cleaned and after I finished I put everything back together where it was supposed to go and when I turn it on the fan starts going super speed and then it says that the ps4 is to hot even though it’s barley even warm and I feel like it’s not blowing enough air out the back how do I fix this and what is the problem

Did you replace the thermal paste? If not, that’s probably your problem.

Just to confirm when looking at the top of the fan where the metal thing is the thermal paste is under that correct

If that piece contacts the CPU, then yes.
