Ghost touch and dead spot after battery replacement on iPhone X

I’ve recently bought an iFixit kit to replace the old battery in my iPhone. However, after assembling it I started experiencing weird ghost touching and dead zones on the bottom part of the display. I tried reseating the digitizer connector multiple times and also cleaned it. I think it got better, but there is still a small horizontal line where a slight touch is not recognized, but a whole finger is. Rarely there is ghost touch also. I inspected the connectors with a relatively small magnifying glass, but I couldn’t see any damage.

Has anybody experienced an issue like this?

I would appreciate any helpful tip or answer. Thanks!

It turned out that the battery I ordered from iFixit was faulty.

You could’ve damaged the cable or the display itself while repairing it. Order a screen replacement and give that a shot. I highly recommend sticking with OLED as LCD replacements can impact battery life and potentially damage the display connector on the board due to its higher energy consumption.
